The story of a phenomenal bond ;

No one on earth can explain how a bond exists. Just like how we wonder why planets rotate, why the sun gives out rays, why flowers bloom, why humans breathe.

 I met a girl when I was ten. She has the color of skin in the brightest beign tone, cheeks that brought out a gentle shade of peach-pink, eyes the color of liquid black and natural smooth hair that many mistaken for, as finely rebonded hair.

 It did not took us long to unfold our first secret. She told me about the boy she loved. In exchange I told her about the boy I fell for. From then , we had our shadows growing side by side. As each day passes, these shadows inch one step closer.

 I remember the first time we had a tiff. She hurled out words in anger but  managed to keep it mild.' Ripped pockets'  'Grimy hair'  ' Backs that left instead of faces that appear' ;  These were crestfallen memories that shook us apart, once, before.

 The strange thing : no matter how impactful every shake was, it is never enough to divide us into different islands, to diverge our bond -- the phenomenal bond.

 Conversations on the phone lasted till wires overheat. A fraction of a day is insufficient for the topics we share. You can measure our common in quantity, it will dawn upon you that it can occupy the entire atmosphere in existence.

 'Canteen Tom Yum noodles'. A food speciality. A bowl of carefully cooked noodles that came from the pleasant middle-aged lady at the chinese store. It brought out the taste of our ecstasy, the color of our contentment. The first and last delicacy that signifies our recognition to each other's appetite.

 Telesthesia [ An extrasensory perception] We have that unusual telepathic transmission. Words and ideas fused as one many a time. She did not have to speak and I did not have to signal. Once, we sung to the top of our voices, the same music, hitting the same millisecond. Our heads turned to each other, jaws stretched to an obtuse angle -- Aghast.

2009 was the year of our physical seperation. She was the first to see the water that flooded my eyes, a deep sense of despondency she will never forget. However seperation wouldn't leave a special bond with a full stop, it continues the bond with a comma.

It's way past midnight and I am writing. And i will continue writing about her for she had already made up the flesh, bones, blood and heart of my mind. The story of our bond has not faded, never faded. It continues burning even higher, brighter, passing through the skies and beyond.

Many say a friend, is commonly defined as someone there for you during the high and low tides.

I disagree.

It's bigger, wider than that. I define a friend as someone who had plunged deep into the seabed of your heart, understood your emotions and swam through the circuit of your body.

And she ;
She is who I defined.
