Poignant

Poignant

From the start I couldn't appease her desires.

From the start he isn't mine he never is once.

From the start, no men will have noticed who I am.

From the start I could only be your wayward girl.

From the start, nobody screamed to me my journey could be a mocking story.

And what she said to me last night wounded me deeply.

Three questions of guilt and blame and underwater in our pride until its legs stop kicking.

Now I'm in the middle , caught in between the lines of fear and evil.

I wasn't your child if you deemed so but truth reveals otherwise.

I couldn't be the happy lark.

Sometimes I thought to myself,
When the sky cascades down and onto me maybe because :

My birth is a mistake.

From the start.
